A Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various areas, ensuring a high standard of hygiene, and supporting the overall efficiency of the operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize dining areas, kitchens, bathrooms and other public spaces as per health and safety standards.
- Set up and break down dining areas, ensuring all equipment and supplies are in place for service.
- Responsible for the washing and maintenance of dishes, glassware, and cooking utensils.
- Support staff by replenishing supplies during events
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, including proper disposal of waste.
- Help with the unloading and storing of deliveries and stock.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist in other duties as directed by management, including event setups or special cleaning tasks.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a stewarding or cleaning role preferred/
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
