General Responsibilities
Prepare and present dishes according to recipe specifications
Supervise and guide Commis Chefs in your section
Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned kitchen section
Monitor inventory levels and notify senior staff of shortages
Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards
Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure seamless service
Assist with menu development and dish improvement.
Standard
Over 18 years old
Able to write, converse and understand the English language
Good numeracy skills and computer literacy
Able to complete training and duties associated with the role
Able to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends
Education
Skills Training Certificate OR Associate Degree / Culinary Arts
High School Diploma/ School Leaving Certificate
Health & Safety Certification
Experience
Experience as a Commis Chef/ Chef de Partie
Experience keeping the kitchen organized and clean
Exposure to fast paced environment
Transferable Skills
Ability to follow instructions precisely
Team player with a positive attitude
Attention to detail and cleanliness
Willingness to develop and grow in a culinary career
